My SME Story is a monthly series created to showcase small and medium enterprises across Namibia by sharing the real journeys behind the businesses. This series focuses on the people, the process, and the purpose. Not just the outcomes.
This series creates a written record of the paths entrepreneurs take while building their businesses. By capturing experiences over time, My SME Story preserves the realities of entrepreneurship in Namibia for learning, reference, and reflection.
Many Namibian small and medium enterprises operate quietly, without recognition or exposure. My SME Story brings attention to these businesses by highlighting their journeys, challenges, and contributions regardless of size, industry, or location.
Entrepreneurship is often portrayed as linear and polished. My SME Story challenges that narrative by showing that progress is complex, personal, and different for every business. Success is presented in many forms, not just financial milestones.
Selection is not based on business size, revenue, or visibility, but on the story and journey behind the enterprise.
SMEs featured in My SME Story are selected through an open submission process. Business owners who would like to be considered can complete the My SME Story submission form available on our website.
Submissions are reviewed with the intention of:
